Clipboard Doodles

I have a clipboard, equipped with a lot of paper for drawing anytime I want/drawing on the go. Actually, I used it when I did the Loony Tunes studies and practices that a posted previously.

I have been out and about lately but have had my clipboard with me a lot of the time and have been doodling away, so here are some of those doodles.

Cartooning Studies!

So I have done some Loony Tunes studies because I figured there is no better way to practice the craft than study/copy the best there is. I will post the original image I used, FOLLOWED by my drawing. Please let me know what you think.

Ren and Stimpy Studies!!

I decided to do some more studies... In particularly, I wanted to work on making my drawings really cartoony and funny! So I copied some drawings from one of the cartooniest, funniest cartoons around, Ren and Stimpy! As you know, John K is one of my greatest inspirations, and influences.
Here are my results! What do you think?

This one is REALLY rough... and not the best... but it served it's purpose so I like it

this is my favorite and I am really proud of it, and very pleased.

Overall I am very pleased with what I did! (=

Melvin...

Introduction/background info
I said in my last post I would post a character I made about about 3 weeks ago. Here it is! I came up with this aftter watching a Mort Walker interview in which he saying how he came up with his characters, such as Beetle Bailey.
Here is what I came up with...
His name is Melvin, and his personality is loosely based on part of mine. Mainly humorous, weird, and very sarcastic.
I was going to post a comic/story I sketched out involving him, but I don't have time at the moment so I will as soon as possible
